FBI sought Trump 'Access Hollywood' tape info in Cohen raid

FBI agents who raided the office of President Trump’s personal lawyer sought records related to the infamous “Access Hollywood” tape released shortly before the 2016 election, The New York Times reported Wednesday.
The agents wanted records related to the 2005 tape, during which Trump could be heard talking about grabbing and kissing women without their consent.
They also were looking for any evidence that the lawyer, Michael Cohen, had tried to conceal damaging information about Trump during the election, sources briefed on the warrant told the Times. LINK

1) Talking about grabbing someone by the pussy isn't a crime.
2) Trying to conceal information from the public through the use of NDA's isn't a crime.
If this is just about Cohen's alleged FEC violation, why the need for all these documents pertaining to Trump that are outside the scope of the targeted offenses alleged?
