FBI misses House committee's deadline for providing Comey's Trump memos

The FBI declined to hand over memos regarding former FBI Director James Comey's communications with President Trump to the House Oversight Committee Thursday, and said it needs more time to evaluate how the special counsel investigation into possible collusion between Trump's campaign and Russia affects the committee's request for information.

Agree. Why give it to the politicians to leak and/or spin?

They've been moot for some time.

Those idiots can't decide on what's for lunch but they're supposed to be competent in investigating?

Alrighty then.

This tweet has the letter and Chaffetz's response. He gave them a new deadline of June 8.

Not saying I told ya, but the Special Prosecutor did change things, as I said.

Just saying the only investigation with any kind of criminal jurisdiction is the special counsel. Mueller doesn't want those documents going public.

Yep and that is good news for Trump in the short term. Long term we just don't know.

You mean as opposed to the FBI? because they would never, ever, ever do anything underhanded, right?

We're they subpoenaed? Or requested?

If subpoenaed, drop a hammer.

I'll go ahead and let the cat out of the bag a little here.

I had a few pelimenary discussions with Deputy Attorney General Rosenstein prior to his naming a special prosecutor and told him that one of my conditions to taking on the job of special counsel would absolutely have to be that I was running the only investigation into this mess.

How can anyone possibly investigate anything when 8 different groups of people are demanding evidence, interviewing witnesses, making promises and leaking information that may or may not be true?

This is a total cock up, in other words business as usual for DC

I experienced the same issue with competing investigations with the Deepwater Horizon. I believe there was up to 6 competing investigations all with different agendas...complete shite show.
