In a summary released Wednesday to Fox News, Bowdich cited two tips that the FBI received about Cruz in September 2017 and January 2018 that were mishandled.

The 2017 tip alerted the FBI to a threatening YouTube comment, made by user Nikolas Cruz, which stated: “I’m going to be a professional school shooter.”

According to the summary, a FBI call taker “did not ask any standard investigative probing questions” about the 2018 tip.

The 2018 call taker was able to connect Cruz to the earlier call about the YouTube comment, but after discussing it with a supervisor, they decided not to pursue the matter and the case was closed.

It’s risen to the level of intentional neglect.

This also proves they blatantly lied in their public press conferences.

If this doesn't enrage you, you are human filth. Lives could have been saved if it wasn't for carelessness and neglect. But by all means, trust the government to take care of you and look out for your best interests.

If one were a conspiracy theory type, this case would set off some alarms for sure.

But but but the NRA!

If the FBI did its job, this shooting would not have happened. Period.

It’s a little known secret that our government agencies are, by and large, worthless. They are almost entirely reactive, but they give the people a false sense of being proactive (and the media covers for them)

It’s really genius though, because every time they fail, the politicians and media can whip peoples emotions into needing MORE government to “fix” the government failures.

Probably because his last name was Cruz.

No. You're a fricking idiot if you don't believe the media and government that's been proven to lie over and over.

These people work at the call center in West Virginia.

Average education of the call-taker is 12th grade.

Most are from Asia - Bombay area.

What do we expect.

Even if the FBI decided it was bullshite and a waste of time, how do they not pick up a phone and call county or municipal police and tell them they have recieved more than one call on this frick already, and it might be worth checking out?

I mean shite, at what point is it considered not giving a shite when you have someone with posession or access to weapons, possible or probable mental health issues, and making threats to the public, and you just shrug it all off?

Do you think they'd just say frick it if the threats he made were to the governor of Florida? How about Dan Mullen, or Tim Tebow, or he threatened to shoot up the FBI office or a police station?

Some people need to lose their jobs over this.

It’s proof the FBI had Cruz on record from the beginning - which they earlier denied.

So someone knew who and where he was - thereby making the connection possible in the first place.

So here’s my question - does anyone really believe the FBI didn’t know about the 45 house calls or the audio transcripts of him threatening to kill on a call with the Sheriff’s office if he was locked in the FBI’s radar?

WHO told them to “close” the case and WHY?

It’s beyond ridiculous now. These people knew this was going to happen and let it happen.

Why do we still have a FBI?

Terminate all 37,000 FBI employees tomorrow!

Why would they try to stop one of their very own mind controlled killers that is doing their bidding?

Is it true that the killer was adopted from Russia?

Was not held by a human being for 8 months.

Wasn't one of the reports made in Mississippi and handled by the Memphis field office? They may not have been familiar with Miami area threats and probably didn't investigate it farther. Or decided that they couldn't really do much about it and didn't bother.

It's more likely a tragic oversight or misstep by an individual or group of individuals than some mass cover up.

If the NRA had its way, a teacher or coach might have been armed and been able to at least slow Cruz down or maybe stop him early enough to save lives.

If the FBI and local law enforcement had their way... Wait. They had their way, didn't they? The had information on the suspect, overtly criminal acts (threats at least that could have followed up on) and chose to do nothing.
