In a statement, the FBI said that the two errors found in the 29 applications likely would not have changed the FISA Court’s decision to grant the underlying surveillance orders.

“None of the errors that had been identified by DOJ-OIG undermined or otherwise impacted the validity of the FISC’s orders,” the FBI said in a statement, according to Fox News.

That finding is in stark contrast to the Justice Department’s decision to invalidate two of four FISA orders granted against Page because they contained so many errors and omissions.

The FBI conducted the review of the surveillance orders in response to a Justice Department inspector general report that said that errors were found in all 29 FISA orders selected for a random audit. The IG conducted the audit due to the problems discovered in the Page case.

Decatur and tiger doc have said that the carter page FISA errors are concerning, but are more of an bureau-wide issue that affects all fisa warrants. This audit suggests the opposite. He carter page fisa was uniquely infested with material omissions and falsehoods

The FBI’s findings suggest that the bureau’s problems with FISA are not systemic throughout the bureau. But while that paucity of errors might be a positive finding for the FBI overall, it raises questions about why so many discrepancies appeared in applications to surveil Page.

Yep, it's almost like it was done on purpose. Like a fishing expedition against a political opponent even...….

On Dec. 17, Judge Rosemary Collyer, who presided over the surveillance court at the time, said that the FBI provided “false information” to the court and withheld information that was “detrimental” to the case against Page.
So now Wray's FBI says errors that would not have affected the warrant?

So this is why no one is arrested. They are all blaming the FBI and the FBI dindunuffins technically.

Describing the fabrication of evidence as errors invalidates all the findings.

And the idea revealing that carter page was an informant wouldn’t have hindered the carter page warrant is retarded

open mouth insert crazy pills

begin reading

quote:

"Yesterday, in a joint filing by the FBI and DOJ, the Office of Intelligence at DOJ informed the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court that, in its judgment, none of the errors that had been identified by DOJ-OIG undermined or otherwise impacted the validity of the FISC’s orders," the FBI said in a statement.

The FBI noted that after the Inspector General's report came out, the bureau and the Justice Department examined the 29 applications that the IG said contained errors.

The filing did not dispute that there were inaccuracies in the warrant applications, it only claimed that those inaccuracies did not ultimately affect the outcome of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court's orders.

Likely true considering the court only rejects like .1% of the requests. Still doesn’t let them off the hook. And even if it would have still been granted that doesn’t mean it couldn’t have changed anything. They can’t know that.

This seems like the headline of the last IG report

THERE WAS NO POLITICAL BIAS

yet the 743 other pages and newly released texts and documents says there was.

Trump shouldn’t have signed the reauthorization act for our intelligence community.

I don't believe so. The wording is confusing.

They compared the FISA warrants in question to 29 random FISA warrants.

Remember the 4 FISA warrants in question had 17 errors.

This is saying the 29 randoms had two errors but those errors didn't make a difference.

unlike the 17 ERRORS in FOUR warrants that were all in the same direction

quite damning actually
