Science is rooted in nominalism.
On the one hand it encourages tinkering, on the other, and this is a problem, it permits and can encourage immoral behavior.
According to nominalism, observed relationships, the things we see we our eyes, I’m a human, you’re a human, are simply labels. It’s not real.
You can see where this liberates people to engage in barbarism, in the pursuit of science.
