Most people that are border line genius,even in the medical field,sometimes don't have walking around sense.

Bingo!
It's the "Not invented here" syndrome. Fauci and others like him do NOT want something as simple as malaria drugs to work on this as it not only makes them look useless, it also reduces their power.
