Farm Bill with Legalized Hemp will be signed this week
Posted by BamaCoaster on 12/11/18 at 7:19 am531
Hemp, the strongest natural fiber, will be re-legalized federally after nearly a century of criminalization.
Paper, concrete, insulation, textiles, plastic, and even ice cream can now be made in the good old US of A, the way our founders did.
Great bill for America.
Great bill for freedom.

I've never understood why it was illegal in the first place.

Money (those who owned trees didn’t want the competition)
Power (those who owned trees paid more to the politicians).
And a guy named Hurst, who owned the newspapers and began a campaign against hemp due to the fact he owned trees. A lot of them.
Historically, once a govt takes it never gives back.

This is more significant than 99% of folks will understand. Hemp is a renewable resource that has hundreds of applications.

Industrial hemp is the same genus as psychoactive marijuana but with very big differences in THC content. Also, medicinal hemp has low THC but high cannabinol content. Cannot get high on those two, but there are hundreds of uses for industrial and cbd varieties.
High return per acre on the cbd, no pun intended.

Hemp seed has more digestible protein than a soy-bean.

More digestible protein
More than any other food source. I think that’s what I read.

clothing, rope, cables, packaging, food products, feed stock for power generation, medicines
Hemp is kinda like a jack of all trades plant. It can be used in a lot of different applications currently used by wood, paper, cardboard, plastic, cotton, soybeans, corn, etc.
