There are plenty of MAGA posters here that say being gay is a mental illness. If it’s not really a big issue for MAGA, we should see less upvotes for those posts.

That is false, Mick. They said body mutilation and transition is a mental illness. I happen to agree, except in the very rare case of a person being born with both sexual organs.
