Do any conservatives here feel that they may need to change their political affiliation or find themselves jobless, homeless, penniless, and ostracized from society?
Facebook and Google knows you are on this site and they know what opinions you hold about Muslims(pbuthem), if you object to mothers murdering their children and don't consider it their right to do so, if you support Trump, if you support hate organizations like Fox News, if you are a bigot and think a nation has a right to determine which people can and can't enter their nation, etc...
By writing about those ideas here, Facebook/Google now knows about it whether you have ever used Facebook or not.
In the future, they could contact your employer and have you fired or that employer could face severe repercussions and possibly face huge fines for employing you or simply be shut down if you aren't terminated.
They could have your bank accounts shut down or force credit card companies to quit doing business with you. They could prevent you from travelling on airlines and buses due to your hateful ideology and for being a danger to society.
All of this could be done, just as it is in China, for not having a good enough moral score.
I was just wondering if any of you were afraid of what might happen to you and your family for having the wrong ideas and perhaps expressing them here or anywhere else online.

I live in Louisiana, not California. Most employers here share my views.

I don't have a Facebook account and I don't use Google.
I'm not seeing the problem?

It’s good to be at a point in life where I don’t care

If this site has google ads they are still getting info on you. Not as personal of course.
I run an adblocker so never see them.

So do I, along with a proxy server.

The "Like" and "Share" buttons have been tracking for years now, but they also have a "pixel."
Now, the pixel:

And as far as Google goes, if you use Chrome, they're getting everything.
quote:
Say Hello to the Pixel
As you travel through the web, you’re likely to encounter Facebook Like or Share buttons, which the company calls Social Plugins, on all sorts of pages, from news outlets to shopping sites. Click on a Like button and you can see the number on the page’s counter increase by one; click on a Share button and a box opens up to let you post a link to your Facebook account.
But that’s just what’s happening on the surface.
“If those buttons are on the page, regardless of whether you touch them or not, Facebook is collecting data,” Oppenheim says.
Behind the scenes, every web page contains little bits of code that request the pictures, videos, and text that browsers need to display each item on the page. These requests typically go out to a wide swath of corporate servers—including Facebook—in addition to the website’s owner. And such requests can transmit data about the site you’re on, the browser you are using, and more. Useful data gets sent to Facebook whether you click on one of its buttons or not. If you click, Facebook finds out about that, too. And it learns a bit more about your interests.
Now, the pixel:
quote:
In addition to the buttons, many websites also incorporate a Facebook Pixel, a tiny, transparent image file the size of just one of the millions of pixels on a typical computer screen. The web page makes a request for a Facebook Pixel, just as it would request a Like button. No user will ever notice the picture, but the request to get it is packaged with information.

So, what are you, the frickin Tokyo Rose of PT?
"Oh dern. We better not have conservative opinions anywhere, else we shall be purged." Thanks for the dire input. It's also bullshite.

I don't have a Facebook account, don't have the app installed, and use Duckduckgo for all browsing.
Did you know if the Facebook app is on your phone it has permission to run constantly, gather data about every app you open, report that data to Facebook, and then Facebook can do whatever it wants with that information.
At minimum everyone should Uninstall that app immediately. It is literally a virus.

They want you to feel marginalized and afraid to speak out. Do not call for that trap. There are plenty of Americans who believe in conservative values. Trump won the election. America stood up for itself. Let's hope it continues to do so.

It may be bullshite to you because you choose not to believe. I'm sure the Chinese people never imagined they would be assigned a social score and denied basic human rights or services of their society for not scoring high enough.
Google has helped the Chinese implement much of the technology that is now repressing the Chinese people.
To think it could not happen here is absurd. So what if we have guns? That will matter very little after hundreds of thousands have everything they have worked for, striven for, dedicated their lives to, anything they own, anything they cherish, including family, stripped from them for owning a weapon.
The rest of our society will quickly fall into line after examples are made. When you realize that you will be imprisoned for owning a gun, you will quickly lose your live free or die attitude.
Everyone is a big talker until the shite really hits the fan and then you start thinking about dire consequences and things become clear really quick.

I'm sure they did. The Chinese are nothing at all like us.
People take the freedoms and rights we enjoy in America for granted on such an unbelievably massive scale it's honestly mind blowing.
