Explain to me why progressives are so hung up on gun grabbing?

In truth, the vast majority of the Left are just naive do-gooders who do not think about the second-, third- and fourth-order results of their desire to "stop gun violence."

It’s pretty much the same reason as when you roll through a stop sign, and a bystander gives you a dirty look. Some people like to live by rules, and some of us like to be free.
