I'm really just dropping this in here to remind everyone that some people are still prosecuted for this shite. Just not James Comey or his buddies apparently, but hopefully the day is coming soon that changes.

quote:

A former Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) employee pleaded guilty in federal court on Thursday to leaking classified intelligence information to two reporters.

Henry Kyle Frese, 31, of Alexandria, Va., was a counterterrorism analyst from February 2018 to October 2019 and held top-secret security clearance.

Between the spring and summer of 2018, a reporter published eight articles containing classified information related to the capabilities of certain foreign countries’ weapons systems, according to court documents cited in a press release from the Department of Justice (DOJ).

This guy was apparently "living with" some reporter (honeypot) and she was milking him for top secret info. He willingly handed it over to her going so far as to begin conducting searches on classified systems for information she was asking him for. Stuff totally outside his job description even.

Then she introduced him to another reporter and he began doing the same shite for the second reporter.

Now, when we gonna start seeing some of the higher players held to this same standard? Hillary Clinton was selling SAP info to foreign adversaries for personal profit!! frick!!

Those people are extremely self-important. How come the journalists never get prosecuted for printing classified info? Never understood that.

I remember this story when it broke. I don’t think either reporter was hot enough to lose your career over. Pussy remains undefeated

The courts have held that they can't be punished to publishing material that comes into their possession.

It's the DIA employee who has sworn he wouldn't do this. The reporter has no obligation to the government. And in fact, in many cases the reporters may be blowing the whistle on things the American public needs to know.

Kind of a catch 22 type deal IMO. It's this DIA employee that needs to be hung up by his toes.

They need to make some laws that prosecute journalists for coercing, bribing or exchanging sexual favors for classified info.

Amazing isn't it that women that trade pussy for straight up cash are called criminals but women that trade pussy for government documents are called reporters?

And...

Here he is roasting Edward Snowden for leaking classified info...

And another one. This is from the day before he was arrested talking about his favorite "revenge movie."

Dude is a grade a piece of shite.

Nah let free speech reign. Reporters shouldn’t get in trouble for the leakers that abuse their position and responsibility for personal gain.

On the other hand, what this reporter did was akin to what foreign spies do to gain sensitive Intel. It's literally no different. It was a honeypot operation.

I say when a reporter is pretending to be in love with someone (she was living with the dude) so they can gain classified information to advance their careers they should be treated the same as a foreign spy. JMO.

Otherwise, if someone is dumb enough to just leak that shite just because, the reporter shouldn't be held liable.

I get that but also kinda seems meh to me. I dont think theres a clause to not leak confidential info unless you’re slinging wood. Thats kinda like getting mad at a patient for the doctor overprescribing opioids. The doctor is responsible for giving the rx, not the patient for wanting meds.

When you get a TS clearance, they do give you a fair amount of warning
