One more example of the media fawning over another inacurrate depiction of what happened on January 6. Anderson Cooper gave this a-hole a forum and never challenged him on the causes of death that day nor did he question his hypocrisy for ignoring the riots and violence from the left for six months.

Bill Clinton-era Defense Secretary William Cohen on Friday tore into elected Republicans who are desperately trying to spin the narrative on the deadly U.S. Capitol riot.
“Those members who are trying to say, ‘No big deal on Jan. 6,’ they’re trying to perform a frontal lobotomy on the American people, a side effect which is mental dullness,” Cohen, a Republican former senator for Maine, told CNN’s Anderson Cooper.
[b]GOP lawmakers on Wednesday tried to depict the riot, in which five people died, as “a normal tour visit” involving “peaceful patriots.” That’s despite the existence of thousands of hours of video footage proving the violence incited by ex-President Donald Trump and his enablers was anything but.
Anderson Cooper could have executed a damning takedown of Cohen, but didn't: not a single person died as the result of any action or crime committed by the protesters. Here ae the causes of death:
The District of Columbia medical examiner released the cause of death for four of the five people who died at the Jan. 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol:
• Ashli Babbitt, 35, died by homicide from a gunshot to the left shoulder. She was shot by a Capitol police officer while trying to climb through a door near the House chamber.
• Kevin Greeson, 55, died of natural causes from cardiovascular disease.
• Benjamin Phillips, 50, died of natural causes from cardiovascular disease
• Roseanne Boyland, 34, died by accident from acute amphetamine intoxication.
It was later determined officer Brian Sicknick died from medical conditions
“Everyone who watched what took place that day cannot begin to even think this was just a normal day with a bunch of citizens parading through the halls of Congress,” said Cohen, calling it “an assault upon democracy.”
“When you abandon the rule of law … when the government becomes a lawbreaker, it breeds contempt for the rule of law, it invites anarchy, and what we saw on Jan. 6 was anarchy,” he added. And for those members now to say, ‘Oh, it’s just a day in the life of members of Congress,’ is absurd, it’s insulting.”
Anderson Cooper could have pointed out but didn't that we had 6 months of governments around the country abandoning the rule of law and openly inviting anarchy while aiding and abetting the destruction and violence which caused billions of dollars of damage and was directly responsible for multiple deaths and injuries.

also have a bad habit of overplaying their hand. They just haven't been called on it lately. Seems like it would be pretty easy to call their many bluffs, but there's some sort of glitch in the universe that's allowed them to keep getting away with it. Of all the Secretaries under whom I served, only Aspin was worse than Cohen (ostensibly a Republican).

They know it isn't true but continue to perpetuate the story over and over again to paint Trump and his supporters as violent anarchists. What happened that day does not add up to even 1% of what occurred during the left's summer of rage. The hosts on the CNN and MSNBC echo chambers either continue parroting the same false narrative or encourage and allow their guests to feed their agenda.

only the jan 6th was about hanging the VP and stopping the formal counting of ev.
the BLM behavior was in response to something real.
police shot people.
BlM never attempted to change the presidency.
the jan 6th was due the then-president's unproven lies convincing some that the election was stolen.
