It appears you're trying to say every time someone resists arrest that person dies, right?

Don't care if he was a convicted murderer.

Did you watch the video? Did he deserve that treatment? Were 5 cops necessary for the arrest? Why was it not a ticketed offense?

End of the day: dude is dead. Cop caused death. All on video.

I personally don't have a problem with choking a guy down to the ground as long As you don't crush his wind pipe or cut odd oxygen for too long.

The goddamn mother fricking grand jury obviously did also.

I agree that's a foolish comment. It's as foolish as saying anyone resisting arrest can be lawfully killed.

And if it wasn't a cop, would the person have been indicted?

Fuxking depends, dude. It always depends. Why do people have a problem with cops being authorized to use more force than civilians in non- self defense situations? It's mindblowing.

It's not mindblowing. People understand that if you have been entrusted with the care of the community and been given great latitude in the use of force to accomplish that task, there SHOULD be great accountability for the use of that force on the back end.

Write the guy a ticket. Don't kill him
Let's let that sink in a little for those who still believe this country operates on a free market system.

what is mind blowing is someone can watch that video and not be outraged by what happened.

El dummo

I was quoting a person who stated he was minding his own business, I was asking a rhetorical question, but I didn't put in the ( ? ) I plead guilty.

Protocol doesn't mean shyt you dunce.

The protocol could be ruled to have been too limiting for the situation by a court.

The police took down a big man who was resisting arrest. END THREAD / Police haters.

In that case we have no common ground for discussion.

Yes, because those convicted of crimes who have served their sentence are to be accosted and treated lower than regular citizens. We should allow the police to do whatever they want to those who have committed crimes in the past. Maybe we could make a TV Show about it.

Translation: This is what happens when you are morbidly obese, have ashtma, heart problems and try to fight the police.

No one put the loosies in Garner's hands and forced him to sell them. His decision to knowingly engage in illegal activities while having such poor health is on his own head.

With that said, the office broke protocol by using a form of a choke hold the NYPD specifically prohibits. That is on his head.

This was an unfortunate confrontation, but why did it happen, especially since this is a misdemeanor that's been going on for years? Because Bloomberg pushed the NYPD to crack down hard on people selling loosies (ie: "loose cigarettes") because they aren't taxed. Unfortunately, not enough people will go beyond the black/white or black/cop issue to put this on Bloomberg's head.

Always follow the money.

I strongly suggest you watch the Paul/Matthews interview last night.

Paul blamed the politicians first and foremost.
