Mayor Pete says it's impossible to be both. A queer guy making such a statement is beyond hypocrisy.

quote:

Former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg said he can't find "any compatibility" by which Christians could support President Trump.

During a Tuesday night CNN town hall, moderator Erin Burnett asked Buttigieg if he thinks it remains impossible for a true Christian to support the president. Before quoting Buttigieg's previous remarks on the president's evangelical support, Burnett prefaced her question, "To the point you talk about God not belonging to any kind of a political party ... Do you think it is impossible to be a Christian and support President Trump?"

"Well, I'm not going to tell other Christians how to be Christians, but I will say [that] I cannot find any compatibility between the way this president conducts himself and anything that I find in Scripture," Buttigieg said, to which the audience applauded.

The sad part is many, many poor souls will lap this up and justify their remaining in sin due these remarks.

People who acknowledge Christ as the savior can't just sin away at will. He left very specific teachings on what is and what is not sinful.

I fall on a daily basis, but try not to wallow in my sinfulness nor justify my sins as normal so I can fool myself into thinking they are no longer sins.

If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall surely be put to death; their blood is upon them.

Isn't there a scripture about judging that goes something like...

First remove the pole from your but...

This was after he spouting some sort of nonsense about "God not belonging to any political party".

Apparently he thinks He belongs to the democrats.

Where do democrats get off insulting Trump supporters on a daily basis? Trump doesn't insult democrat supporters, he insults the democrats.

I'm an atheist, borderline anti-theist, and this shite fricking disgusts me.

I don't agree with many of Trump's policies and I abhor much of his behavior, but to sit there and vomit this condescending shite up on people that do is just as sick as the right wing shock jocks and bloggers who cast these aspersions on Democrats.

CNN has lost absolutely any shred of dignity or credibility they ever had.

When Pete trots out his tired “God doesn’t belong to a party line,” he gets on a really high horse and becomes super self-righteous.

Negative.
This is not about capturing anyone from the religious right.
Buttigieg pulls the religion card to negotiate the ground where debate about his homosexuality takes place.

Message: "I'm brave and confident enough to take "them" on on their own ground, and with partisan media hacks as my wingmen, I can pull it off."

Again, it's nothing to do with pulling religious votes. It is simply showing his base he's willing to taunt the "other side" in their own territory.

Pete is easily my most despised candidate. He’s so smug and he thinks he’s a lot smarter than he really is.

This is only because Mayo Pete doesn’t find anything in the Scripture.
