The whole thing is worth watching but start at 14:45 and watch where he has to stop and regroup his thoughts. I cannot figure out what he was going to say.

I will be honest, I have no idea how I would be with cameras in my face after my brother masacred 60 people and then shot himself. I probably wouldn't be acting "normal."

That makes sense. You think is disparaging towards the Armed Forces though? Didn't it used to the main line in a commercial? I am not trying to argue, just curious as I do not how that line is perceived.

Army? He was about to say "Steve was an army." but stopped short as not to insinuate he was equal to the armed forces?

Idk know. This guy is in shock but he seems just as goofy as his brother, minus the mass shooting deal. I think it's good insight into the shooters mannerisms and presence.

Yeah I get that too. I just thought it was an interesting moment. The guy is clearly struggling with this and only second to the victims I cannot imagine what he and his family are feeling deep down.

If my brother was "just a normal guy" and did this, I would be the first person claiming it was a set up.

This stinks more and more every day.

Yeah. I am trying to keep an open mind but there are some things just off here. Either there is more to it or he developed some sort of brain defect that changed his perspective on the world but allowed him to maintain his meticulous nature such that he put all this together.

I agree with this. It does seem like he knows a lot more about his brother than he was letting on in his first interview, where he basically made it seem like they had little contact and were all but estranged.

He does kind of come across as a dick too, but I'm willing to chalk that up to the situation, I suppose.

I'd love to hear a professional psychoanalysis of Eric Paddock from that interview.

Me too. He brags a few times about all the money they have made, makes me wonder how above board it all is. He could just be a dick/douche or in severe trauma as someone mentioned above.

As a 28 1/2 year veteran of the U.S. Army, I hate "Army of One"

Tony Soprano (who understood the importance of the chain of command and following orders in a military or paramilitary organization) said it better than I can:

quote:

This army of one thing, what happens when each army of one decides frick it, I'm not goin' over the top of the foxhole, or, why don't we just blow the lieutenant's head off? Because they've been told, you know, "you're an army of one".

So I have three theories of the "why" in no particular order:

1. ISIS/muzzie convert.
2. Bernie bro.
3. Disgruntled casino gambler.

One and two make sense from the target chosen.

Doesn't appear he cares enough about the money to be disgruntled... He's in LA real estate; hundreds of thousands apparently show up in the mailbox/ bank acct monthly.

So he was a rich douche, who used people for his gain, then snapped. His brother is a douche who benefited from his brothers money.

Yeah, that would be a rough interview to take. He messed up on the present and past tense when talking about his brother which is completely natural when someone dies unexpectedly.

He was a bit pretentious on the wealthy bit, saying $100K isn't a lot of money. I wonder if there was an illegal side business that they were all involved in that is about to become public.

I was wondering that as well.
