Encounter with disrespectful foreigners today

I went to my apt gym. Sometimes go there if I don’t have time to drive to 247
After about 10 min two foreigners walk in. Totally not dressed to exercise. Hop on the treadmill and begin blaring music from their little portable speaker they brought in. Not even running just sorta dancing on the treadmill.
Two other people there immediately stop and leave. I can’t even hear my own music thru my headphones. I give it some time and then go up and politely ask them to turn down their music. Immediately get confrontational, begin speaking in another language and act like they can’t understand me (they are blasting modern pop music so I know they understand my words). I just turn and walk out.
Is it wrong to think they are disrespectful trash? It seems 50% of foreigners I encounter are the nicest humans ever and yet the other 50% seems like they go out of their way to be disrespectful trash
I go to their home country and blast music in public I probably get arrested at a minimum
Anyone share similar experiences?

Same way people in Mexico can tell who is a foreigner and not I’m sure. It’s pretty easy to tell when you come across them

Puerto Rican? Maybe a cultural thing more than anything. Speakers and loud music to them are like pecan pie and barbecue are to me.
