I don't know WTAF is happening today.

We have a deal!

Oh, wait. We don't have a deal.

Well, hold that- we do now.

Oop- false alarm, sorry.

Ok there's a deal in play, but there's another deal not in play.

Yeah, we definitely have a deal.

No, not yet, sorry. We might, but it's tentative.

....

... I've seen every one of these things since 08:30CST and my head is spinning.

They lost the election. They don’t deserve to be at the table. To a Democrat the word “Bi-partisan” means Republicans bend over and give Dems what they want.

There is a new sheriff in town. Deal with it.

i never had that big a problem with trump. at least not to the point where i thought he was hitler or anything like that.

if you think i’m a hardcore leftist in 2024 i don’t know what to tell you. more like what a democrat in the 2000’s was which makes me politically homeless.

So 197 Democrats voted against it and this is somehow Trump‘s fault or Elon’s fault?

Shhh....you're not supposed to point that out.

if you are in congress then by definition you didn’t lose the election for the term in which you’re serving.

i would agree a lame duck congress should not be in a position of having to pass a funding bill, even a short one.

Democrats and rinos spent months negotiating 1500+ pages of worthless pork, hidden traps and deepstate protections that Elon uncovered and now swamp rats want to bitch over it being revealed and complain about not being involved in it's replacement?
They should have done better the 1st time.
The dems do own this coming shutdown.
Eff them.

If the situation were reversed the Republicans would say kick rocks too and that would also be correct.

Expecting the other side to bend to your whims just because is just not the world we live in

What is there to negotiate?

No new spending. No gay retirement home. No football stadium.

How about no to all of that?

How is it not the Dem’s fault if we stop paying American’s their salaries because the Dems didn’t get their gay retirement home?

It's actually on the 38 uniparty Reps, as well, who sided with the Dems instead of their own party. If they stuck with their party, the bill passes 210-197. We need to know the names of these Reps.

What the shite?

Is it not possible that they voted no for absolutely fricking direct opposite reasons?

The dems bend the rinos over whenever they want.
Then when there is any resistance or pushback, yall want to bitch and moan.
Bending to the whims of the 1500 page initial CR would have been another budget fiasco that leads us further into insolvency.
Some of us don't want America to collapse.

The Covid spending, the infrastructure bill, the inflation amplification act were all dem/rino boondoggles that we can't allow to continue.
The 1st CR was more of the same.

Entirely possible, but the fact remains only 2 Dems strayed, but 38 Reps did. Dems always stick together, Reps not so much.

I would still like to know who the 38 are and hear the reasons for their nay votes. Doesn't seem unreasonable to me.
