Election will come down to OMB turnout for the dims
Posted by Palm Beach Tiger on 10/22/20 at 7:25 am150
Trump will get a high percentage of the voters he got in 16 plus new voters will probably push that overall number up around 10 to 20 percent imo. Biden will lose some of the voters that wanted Hillary because of Bill or because she would have been the first female pres. So that leaves orange man bad to cover the rest of that gap. Thats why we see the media and celebs painting this narrative.

We've always heard that whipping up excitement amongst the base and getting the base out is non-negotiable if one were to expect to be competitive. Ain't no way Biden and Harris have excited the base to the extent necessary, i.e. having to call in Obama to try and fix that at the 11th hour. My prediction: they suck again.

Not even close.
The left has marched out a shittier candidate than before. Trump has picked up at least 25% more voters than he had last go around. He might hit 330.

True, but like I've said, you can't underestimate the left's hatred for Trump. They'd vote for satan himself if it meant getting Trump out of office. They're not going to get out and vote for Biden/Harris, they're going to get out and vote against Trump.
Trump voters still need to get out and vote Trump.

Yep, not interest for Biden, but hatred for Trump

I think without voter fraud Trump blows the doors. I agree with everything you've said... Hiltary was a bad candidate, but Joe is significantly worse.
The strongest candidate wins in the Presidential elections.

True but all those people voted in 2016, they're tapped out. Instead of going to the middle, they went far left... basically eliminating potential voters.

Pardon my ig’nance, but what does this abbreviation mean?

No doubt about it, that can't be stressed enough. Can't take anything for granted. That said, I don't think the hate Trump vote is going to sufficiently substitute for the "excited base" vote needed under "normal" circumstances. Now I don't think that's the end all be all for a Trump victory, however that scenario + the rabid Trump base + very likely picking up flipped voters....it looks pretty good on paper anyway.

This election will come down to how much MASSIVE F*CKING VOTER FRAUD that the Dims can get away with.

They are sending 5 ballots to each house that registered Democrat...it just comes down to how well they can forge a dead relatives signature at this point. Don’t underestimate their ability to cheat. They are fricking pros.

OM calls media Enemy of the People, so why be surprised when media openly endorses opposition to OM?

I thought the media was supposed to be unbiased. So you are saying they choose sides? Thanks for admitting.

I mean, it's that they do openly endorse against Trump in so many ways that results in their enemy of the people designation by Trump. One follows the other but you have it backwards.
I think many of us are more scared of a Biden/Kamala ticket then we’re of a Hillary ticket which was thought to be more Obama with a little bitchy evil. Biden/Kamala is control of our LEO/Media/ possibly Sipreme Court. We know that now.
I think some fearful voters will get out to vot against that too. So some of the fearful vote is in play, all I’m saying.
Leave me alone, I’m on first cup of :gmt;

This same board thought the amount of hatred people had for Obama would be enough, not considering how good he is at energizing his base. It’s all about energizing your base. Romney, Gore, McCain, Kerry couldn’t do it, neither can Biden. Hillary could but only in the major cities, not anywhere else.
Bill Clinton, Obama, and Trump knew how to energize their bases. GWB did to an extent but mostly he went up against poor candidates.
ETA: Can someone tell me what OMB means?

You must think it’s gonna be a fair vote.

Orange Man Bad.

I’ve said over and over that it’s been proven that voting FOR someone is much more effective than voting AGAINST someone. Lots of people on the fence will stay home or go with the incumbent.

Appreciate it, I should have been able to figure that out

I think a huge % of the turnout for Dems will be early voting or, more likely, voting by mail. For example: the Democrats have already exceeded the vote-by-mail totals from 2016 by 500k+. Certainly that could be a sign of significant enthusiasm. It could be a sign that a lot of people registered in Fla. aren't there because of covid and are thus, voting by mail. Or, it could be a sign Dems are still terrified of covid and don't want to show up to a crowded polling place on election day.
Likely it is a combination of all three. That said, it also may mean a huge % of the hay will be in the barn for the Democrats when election day rolls around. I would imagine that likely conservative voters are MUCH more willing to show up in person on election because they aren't terrified of covid. Additionally, those voters are more apt to not trust the post office with their mail in ballot.
Either way, Democrats SHOULD take a pretty big lead in the first 3 "quarters" of the game. If not, that would be worrisome for the Dems. It will be up to the Republican voters to dominate the 4th quarter...and they may have the benefit of knowing the deficit they have to make up going into election day
