LINK

Plenty to dig through here, so it's best to read through the link. Here are the three most important points from and about Ed Whelan, who was a clerk for Scalia:

quote:

“By one week from today [it was Sept. 18] I expect that Judge Kavanaugh will have been clearly vindicated on this matter. Specifically, I expect that compelling evidence will show his categorical denial to be truthful,” Whelan tweeted on Tuesday. “There will be no cloud over him.”

quote:

He said that Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) would “soon be apologizing” to Kavanaugh and that Kavanaugh’s “suffering […] will be shown to have been deeply unjust.”

It is notable that Whelan is opposed to the requested FBI investigation, opposed to a subpoena of alleged witness Mark Judge, and opposed to the delay of Monday’s planned hearing.

quote:

Whelan was hailed by National Review editor Rich Lowry as “the model of careful, discerning legal analysis and commentary,” which is why “all of us who know him take everything he says and writes so seriously.”

He wasn’t the only one to vouch for Whelan.

Will not happen. Ever. It could come out that Feinstein directly paid the accuser and wrote the statement for her and she would never apologize.

Yeah, I'll believe this when I see it

My guess? Proof the story takes place in a timeframe where Kavanaugh couldn’t possibly have be there.

Ford has already narrowed the timeframe to one of two summers through her reported age at th time of the incidenday.

Proof comes out that Kavanaugh wasn’t in Maryland at that time and she’s fricked.

Or even the real assaulter comes out and admits guilt, apologizes and blames it on being a kid. Not saying this will happen, but it would be an epic move

Plot twist: Gorsuch comes forward and says, “that slutty bitch has it wrong. I was the person who tried to finger bang her at my best friend’s house.”

Gorsuch adds: “come at me. I was a kid.”

Sounds to me like Ed Whelan will soon be answering to some #metoo allegations himself.

Democratic playbook; someone shows up to refute your bullshite; hit them with some dirt as well.

These dem senators are retarded. JK has always been know as a constitutionalist, but if i were him, after what the dems did, my rulings would absolutely be politically motivated in favor of Republicans.

Problem is she has yet to tell us when it happened, which makes this impossible.

What if he spent every single summer of high school at sleepaway camp or something?

Despite her vagueness she has told us a timeframe.

Summer break while she was 15.

Figure out her birthday and that makes it the summer of either 1982 or 1983.

But everyone was talking about it at school the next few weeks (despite the fact that she said nothing)!

She has identified witnesses.
If the witnesses aren’t there, there’s no reliable story.

I’m still thinking there’s a reason Feinstein hasn’t released the redacted letter in unredacted form.

Yep. More reason to interview that person.

I don’t think she thought that through very well unless there was a series of such incidents involving Ford.

Interesting. I wonder if the "person" responsible for the "assault" has offered to come forward? From a legal stand point, if it was mistaken identity, the perpetrator would not be facing legal charges.
