The U.S. economy added 266,000 jobs in April and the unemployment rate rose to 6.1 percent, an unexpectedly poor showing falling well below expectations.
The Labor Department report released Friday represents the first month of the second quarter, which economists expected to see some of the highest growth rates in decades. LINK

No jobs to add with companies moving out of the country and threats of major tax hikes.

Who would people take jobs when they are making more money staying home?

You just wait until build back better gets implemented.

There is virtually no screening process for unemployment right now. Get on the website and say pretty much anything and you will get approved for the enhanced unemployment

Remember the recovery under Obama following the worst recession since the 1930s was followed by the slowest economic recovery in the history of the republic.
Expect more of that but worse. They want to kill the middle class at all costs.

Just wait for all the gnashing of teeth when everyone has to take a paycut to go back to work.

Well, I’ll be the optimist and say at least it wasn’t worse than that. 266k more jobs for Americans. But, dam this guys has to go. At some point his policies will make these -266k a month.

Only Biden and the DemWits could screw up the post-COVID recovery.

Not to mention Biden bucks incentivizing unemployment.

Kill pipeline and over 11,000 jobs
Give free money to stay home
Encourage cheap illegal labor to come here
Raise corporate taxes and force companies to look overseas
Kill drilling under the Green BS
I could keep going on but this is where we are at

It's no real question what the end game here is. With some resistance to the $15/hr min wage in Dems own party, they will make sure people who are sitting by the wayside right now are getting at least that, and until September 5th when the newly extended unemployment runs out.
Just do the calculation in your state.
Here in GA the state benefit is $365/week, plus the $300/week federal. That's $665/week. Multiply that by 52 weeks and that's $34,580. Divide that by 2080 for hourly rate and you get $16.63/hr. Interesting number we got to there...
They want all businesses to up their wages to at least $15/hr. It's plainly obvious. If they cant do it via minimum wage, they will force their hand with "extended unemployment" which just so happens to put most people in the $15-$20/hr range equivalent to sit at home and do nothing. You dont even need to seek out employment right now to get unemployment.

Odd isn't it, I wonder if Xi Biden will sue the states shutting down extended unemployment bennies?

Why would white supremacy and climate change do this?
