Early correction of the year award nomination

CNN reported the other day that Twitchy regular Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA) “grabbed a crowbar” before leaving his office on January 6 when rioters took over the Capitol, which, to be honest, was pretty awesome.
Alas, it wasn’t true.
According to this correction, the California Dem grabbed a “ProBar energy bar” which would be slightly less effective for use in self-defense.
Take a bow, CNN:
I'd like to think that, had I reported this story, that I would stop and think: Wait, why would Ted Lieu have a crowbar in his office?
In reality, this is the very definition of too good to check. LINK

Which is odd, since most professionals have crowbars lying around their offices...
My guess is neither the person who reported it or Ted Lieu have ever touched an actual crowbar...

I clicked on the link and saw a Tweet in there from AOC where she said many of them have had repeated attempts on their lives.
AOC's quote: "I get it, but some of us just spent the last 2 years taking stances that have led to repeated attempts on our lives - for demanding guaranteed healthcare, immigrant justice, etc."
Who has made an attempt on her or any other Democrat's life? Steve Scalise was shot and almost died. Rand Paul was attacked. Have any Democrats been attacked because I feel like if they had, we might have heard about it?

I think ole teddy boi was trying to sound a bit masculine, we know that ain’t possible . When people started wondering why he would have such a thing like that there he started squirming , that last part I could believe
