How exactly does calling someone a son of a bitch teach them about diplomacy?

United Nations report, methamphetamine was identified as the “most used” illicit drug in the Philippines. Additionally, the Philippines—along with Burma and China—accounted for most of the world's production of methamphetamine over the past decade.

Shabu/ Meth is rampant TigerPride.

Police data show they have netted 3,213 drug personalities under Project Double Barrel while 112,902 drug dependents and 7,107 runners have turned themselves in after 1st month of President Elect.

The police claim a decrease in crimes as illegal drugs are related to other crimes happening in the country.

I've met 100's of Filipinos including my wife's family in the Philipines and they freaking love the man. All the old timers will tell you the country went to hell after Marcos. We have a significant amount of Filipinos in Louisiana too and every single one I've met supports Duterte. Now I can take it from them that he's doing exactly what they want or the idiots on this board /the liberal media that he's Hitler?

Perhaps you should have opened your eyes because their economy has grown by an average of 5% since the new millennium. Not Earth shattering, but the development is noticeable when you walk through certain areas (and no, I don't mean Burgos).

The number of drug users accounts for less than 2% of the population. Is it a problem for those <2M people? Yes, and they need treatment and, considering that most users there are desperately poor, the country needs to tackle its poverty.

However, summary execution and vigilante death squads are not an answer to a country's problems.

No, he's actually 100% accurate. From your own link:

*Police records show 5,882 people were killed across the country since Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte took office on June 30.

I was in Cebu just a few months ago. Drugs and kidnapping are a huge issue. Also, most of the folks I talked to fricking love Duterte. The issue came up a lot in conversation because many people there see Trump as similarly strong and unapologetic.

This fearful Manilla resident. Can you tell us more about him/her? Maybe he/she is scared of being slaughtered like a dog because he/she is a drug dealer. Does the article give us any more background on this person other than "Manilla resident?"

The link puts the death toll at just under 6000. You quoted it it in your reply, yet you say he is right according to the link.
