The Consumer Price Index (CPI) for prescription drugs decreased 2.0 percent in June from 12 months prior according to the CPI release from @BLSgov today. This is the lowest 12-month change since January 1968. #BLSdata

The inflation-adjusted CPI for prescription drugs has now fallen 12.1 percent below its pre-Inauguration expansion period trend.

Also because some years there are really expensive cures that come out that skew the inflation. I've read this happened with Sovaldi in 2015 I think. When you can cure Help C with a pill treatment nobody considers the net spending on treatment. The demonization of pharma needs to stop.

That’s all the time.

These new biologics are coming out all the time.. for RA/ migraines/Cancer treatments.. that are all several thousand dollar drugs right off the bat made for a small niche of patients that cost MILLIONS of dollars to recoup.
