Billionaire investor and longtime Trump confidant Carl Icahn dumped $31.3 million of stock in a company heavily dependent on steel last week, just days before Trump announced plans to impose steep tariffs on steel imports.

Trump’s announcement tanked the market, with steel-dependent stocks hardest hit. The stock value of Manitowoc, the firm from which Icahn bailed, plunged, losing about 6 percent of its value.

Impeccable timing, indeed.

An ice machine company?

Half of manufacturing depends on steel and aluminum. Did Ichan dump his stock in all companies using those materials, or are you cherry picking data?

Trump's money laundering is coming under increasing scrutiny, so I guess insider trading is the next best thing.

I wonder what's next?

Wait. You think a billionaire is going to engage in something nefarious to save 1.8 million? You think Trump is going to endure the scrutiny to save his friend 1.8 million. You have lost your damn mind, Rex.

To be fair, the Commerce department issues their findings on steel and aluminum tariffs on February 16th.
