Why does he have to issue a proclamation on gay pride? You gays are the ones that are proud. Should he issue a heterosexual pride proclamation? How about a white pride proclamation?

In my experience, people who define themselves by only one facet of their personality are, by and large, miserable people. Toddy is a classic example of that.

There is nothing to be proud of relative to sexuality. And the human species certainly should not promoting homosexuality as a preferred lifestyle. Having said that, we as a nation should absolutely tolerant/understanding of homosexuality but that does not mean our President should endorse the promotion of homosexuality.
