Does Hawaii now lose their carbon credits?

Just look at all of the toxin being released from the now active volcano. Surely they should pay a price.

Hope they bought some of that volcano insurance.

That volcano will release more carbon this week than the people of Hawaii will in 10 years. Not to mention the other gas and particles that will be polluting the atmosphere.
We need common sense volcano control policy.

Not to be hateful but that whole place can burn.

Fun fact all that particulate matter and CO2 in the air will lead to cooling effect on the planet remember Mount Pinatubo.
From Wikipedia:
quote:
The effects of the 1991 eruption were felt worldwide. It erupted roughly 10 billion tonnes (1.1×1010 short tons) or 10 km3 (2.4 cu mi) of magma, and 20 million tonnes (22 million short tons) of SO 2, bringing vast quantities of minerals and toxic metals to the surface environment. It ejected more particulate into the stratosphere than any eruption since Krakatoa in 1883. Over the following months, the aerosols formed a global layer of sulfuric acid haze. Global temperatures dropped by about 0.5 °C (0.9 °F) in the years 1991–1993,[9] and ozone depletion temporarily saw a substantial increase.

I always find it amusing when people (both on and off the island) are shocked that volcanos erupt on Hawaii and they see the damage caused by it.
100% of every bit of land they are living on was created by this very process. Every single island in Hawaii was made by volcanic action.
Show some respect!

Between the earth and the sun there is nothing man can do to slow the change in climate. It cycles.
We can speed it up with nukes but really can’t slow it.
Natural causes of climate change - 99.99999%
Man’s contribution to climate change - 0.00001%
But let’s destroy economies for that small percentage.

Canada will now peacefully assist anyone who wants to lower their carbon footprint to zero. I encourage all climate activists to do their part.

Even Mother Nature has to phart.

I’d like to know how much greenhouse gases are being emitted during the eruption for comparison purposes.

I was under the impression that volcanoes were the reason for island development.

It's way past time to put catalytic converters on these volcanos and make them California Emissions Compliant!!!
