Allow this bs allegation to go unchallenged and unexposed as the utter crap it is? They will be next and they will suffer the same fate.

The Senate Republicans think they’re special.
I’m tempted to drag a couple hundos through a Fremont, NE trailer park to get a #metoo started on Sasse.

Exactly. Preemptive strike to shed the weak and infirm. Who’s got the numbers of those 10 sloots that accused Trump? They probably need some work.

The Radicals are right. The Republicans are old, stupid, white men, afraid of their own shadows. Some of these old bastards, like Grassley and McConnell, should never, ever be anywhere near leadership positions.

Don’t overreact

you're probably right Walt.
it's important to keep a level head during crazy times.

Yes we do. What are we supposed to do about it

and mothers of sons
mothers should want to protect their sons from having their careers ruined by mentally disturbed women who are part of a political manupulation
destroying their sons also disrupts their grandchildren, it harms their entire family
Protect your sons!

I agree with your premise, this is a slippery slope that could go several different directions. I think the preferred Dem outcome has been defeated when Grassley didn’t snap and call for the vote before getting her to testify, but that’s another thread in itself and not the point of this one.
Overall I think the #metoo movement has seen its day and is on the slow decline, and I’ve seen some sources opposing it within the last few months I never thought I would.
It’ll be a slow defeat though, as rarely is there opportunity for men to band together and it’s usually individual man vs. accuser and public opinion - even in cases of indirect #metoo-ism (just made that up). An example of indirect would be Grassley’s current position; he’s not directly being accused but if he hastily takes actions that support the accused then HE becomes entangled in the turmoil and prosecuted by the court of public opinion all the same (even though there’s 10 other GOPers on the committee - he’s the “face” that’ll take the heat).
In most everyday cases involving “regular” people it’s accuser vs. individual male, however. It’s extremely unlikely another man is going to risk indirect metoo-ism to come to that man’s support, let alone large protests or all male marches - things that other causes receive often. Because the fight is one male vs. the movement at large it makes it nearly impossible for men to band together and take it down head-on, instead it’ll just keep dying slowly one case at a time.
