Does anyone think US troops will eventually be on the ground and engaged in Ukraine?

I know some people will say the US will not place US troops in harms way in Ukraine but the US is getting itself deeply involved in the Ukraine/Russia conflict.
As the US continues to sends more sophisticated weapons and military equipment to Ukraine it’s pretty obvious the Ukraine military will need extensive US support to train Ukraine military personnel to use this advanced military equipment and to maintain the equipment.
The chances of US military personnel becoming involved in the Ukraine/Russia conflict increases with every new shipment of advanced US military equipment……What’s the chances some American soldiers are going to become casualties of the war in Ukraine? One would have to agree the chances for US military personnel becoming casualties in Ukraine is much greater than it was just 3 months ago.

It’s not as great as you’d think. US boots on the ground means Nuclear War and I don’t think anyone wants to take things that far. The likelihood of US boots being on the ground for a war in Europe would be more likely if nobody did anything.

I think the only way US troops end up on the ground in Ukraine is if Russia does something to trigger a NATO response such as employing tactical nukes or attacking a NATO country for supplying weapons to Ukraine.

I would ask if they are active duty troops or former soldiers who have gone to Ukraine as contractors.
If active duty, I would ask for a source.
