Do you think everyone should be eligible to vote besides being a citizen and 18 years old?

I don’t.

I’m sorry, but if you’re an invalid person without a sound mind in a nursing home or hospital, you probably can’t make a rational choice. You should not be allowed to vote.

I would have no problem with restricting voting to only people who have skin in the game. Like only allowing property owners the right to vote on property tax issues.

If any type of civics test were ever mandated for voting, the Democratic Party would never win an election.

No I don’t. What I will say is the a few of the residents where I work can discuss politics and make sense. They also know their name, the day and the year as well as where they are.

That said, our staff is required to ask if they want to vote. Whether you know who you are or where you are or not. Yeah for me that I haven’t been around on the days that they vote — I’d lose my mind.

Add economics and Dems couldn't win California.

And after they put you in the ground, you’ll be able to vote D also.

I think the constitution is written perfect on this issue. It just needs to be enforced and stop pussyfooting around for votes by both sides.

This is a fact.

We'd have much better Republicans in office too.

Not everyone in those places are without their marbles. I would never deny a vet in a vet's home his right to vote just because he is an invalid with a sound mind.

Only land or business owners should vote.

The voting age should be raised to 25. 18 year olds, generally speaking, are not the independent adults they may have been 30 years ago. I blame the "everyone has to have a college degree" generation.

But why? This is entirely too restrictive.

Sales, income, capital gains, etc. taxes exist. People who pay property tax are not the only ones with skin in the game.

I have no problem with the people that are mentally and cognitively able to vote. It’s the high number of ones who aren’t that I have a problem with.

I don’t want the government telling me, as an adult American citizen, if I’m allowed to vote

Should the gun ownership age be raised to 25, also?

Everyone should be allowed to vote, wtf does being a property owner have to do with someone being a citizen? And no my rights shouldn’t be stripped because I rent or live in assisted living.
