I'd be extremely surprised if he's not nervous. Ask any extremely wealthy, extremely successful person you know if they still get nervous before huge performances/events, and if your relationship with them is candid enough, I can almost guarantee they'll tell you yes.
Mick Jagger after 50+ years of performing before large crowds is by several accounts still nervous as a cat before each concert, but once he hits the stage he is in his element and the show is on, Trump is probably the same way in a lot of respects.

Not listening would be stupid. Disregard things but you should always listen to someone's job you are taking over

Yeah I assume he has confidence that he's got the right ideas, can get the right people on board, strike the right tone in negotiations, etc.
Doesn't mean he's not totally aware of what is at stake and that him getting something wrong could have wide-ranging impacts. Nothing he's done will truly prepare him for an entire country to look to him for reassurance, guidance, etc.
That's not to say he's unprepared, but honestly, unless you're an abnormally powerful VP, or you're a former COS, I'm not sure what could prepare you for that job.

Both!
Even in a negotiation that goes your way, there are nerves involved. That's half of what makes it fun!

Given the awesome responsibility of the job, it is natural for him to be nervous. However, given his background, I think he is up to the task and will work his arse off.
Such a historic and awesome opportunity to help your country. He won't waste his time on a bunch of bullshite gestures aimed toward various fringe constituencies, I would expect him to leave a legacy more so of getting things done quickly and efficiently.
At least, I am willing to give him the rope in order to accomplish these things.
