Do You See Trump’s Syria Withdrawal as Evidence He is Bowing to Putin?

I’m already hearing discussions of this from my friends on the left. I admit it doesn’t look good from that angle. They are making the argument that this allows Putin full reign, because of course Russian forces are not going anywhere.

We would have been able to justify staying longer if we wanted to; we have the backing of our allies, and we are justified under the law of war.

How do you view the withdrawal?

Can they explain why being in Syria is a good thing other than Muh Russia?

It’s a civil war which we don’t have a stake in. In addition to that, ISIS is pretty much toast so we don’t have that as an excuse either.

Russia has cut its military flights in Syria from more than 100 per day to fewer than four a week, the defence minister said Tuesday, in another sign the country's conflict is winding down. LINK

Pro tip: your leftist friends are going to frame any move Trump makes in a negative light.

Long long over due.
And tell your friends who thinks otherwise they should head over to Syria and begin nation building on their own. See how that goes.

The Russians have gotten their asses handed to them in Syria. Turkey shoots down their AF, and Kurds with Special Forces annihilated a Russian/Syrian attack in Eastern Syria.

He campaigned on this kind of thing, so no I don't see it that way. There is no obligation for America to continue being spread all over the middle-east for no obvious benefit to us.

What is Russia going to do in Syria anyway? Build an oil pipeline? Who cares? We got the mothafricking Saudis on our side and we are producing more oil domestically than ever.

Ahhh, found your problem. People with a leftist view are not your friends. They are also not intelligent it seems, so you might want to be on the lookout for some actual friends.
A Chase bank I frequented recently closed down. There are many other banks not too far away from that location. I guess your friends would think Chase bank is bowing down to some of the other banks.

Some people are such a drag! Get out of Syria, we don't need to be there and risk innocent lives! Wait a minute, Trump looks so weak for getting out of Syria and he's acting like Putin's byatch!

your friends on the left are backtracking

otherwise known as lying

the left wanted blood in the streets courtesy of their personal army of ISIS and Al Queada - Assad of Syria is not anywhere near the monster they make him out to be

In other words, the left is now jumping back into "anti war" pretend mode. They've never been anti war, and never will be. Tell your friends that. Syria, and well as Yemen, are Obama's and McCain's wars. The left are trying to pawn them off as "Trump's wars" now.

I'm so glad we are pulling out of Syria. We need to pull out of a bunch of other places too.

edit: most of what I wrote still stands, but I see you're saying your leftists friends want us staying in Syria. Oh well, they're "wanting out of Yemen" now that they finally think the new Saudi leader might actually do the world some good. They'll be "anti war" in Syria soon enough anyway.

This is good news. We do not need to be in Syria. And it has nothing to do with Putin.
