Ever look at the ages of the founding fathers when they signed the Declaration of Independence?

I call them Meatheads and Goofballs. Mainly, because they are.

I think it allows a lot of folks to claim that you shouldn't criticize them because "they're just kids", while they're actually not.

I don’t care what age a person is, if someone else is paying their bills they are a child.

No. They are young men and women. Disclaimer: I am not a biologist.

None...Because their Gen X parents dont make them experience hardship or failure.....they helicopter until their "adult children" are helpless puddles of humanity...that doesn't just go away at 21...I watch so many of my friends doing this now, even when the "child" is making 5x the money than they are...its wrong and its pitiful.

In colonial America, 15 year olds could build a home.

In modern America, 15 year olds can't operate a can opener.

It's situational. Sometimes I do.

A lot of them appreciate it. The ones that don't are best identified and avoided.

I've noticed sportscasters' insistence on calling college athletes "kids", even though they are legal adults repsonsible for their actions.

I have no doubt it is an orchestrated campaigh by TPTB

Under Obamacare "children" are covered through age 26.
The human brain isn't fully developed until 26 so, yes, I still call them kids until they are 26.

Note: I don't actually call them kids to their face. I address people by their names or by some group name if it is a few.

21 is the new 12. That's why you see 40 year olds acting like they're in their 20s. It's PPPS. Perpetual Peter Pan Syndrome.

Yeah. Did you ever look at their average life expectancy?

That was a long time ago and a different world.

They aren't children, but damn sure aren't adults, generally speaking.
