All this talk about women who did or didn't report being sexually assaulted.

It got me thinking...does anyone know or is married to someone who was sexually assaulted but didn't report?

I think this story has a lot more interest bc men know in real life women who were attacked but never went public.

It's gotten to be where it's hard to believe even when they do report it.

I think different people will have different definitions of sexual assault, but yes, I do know someone.

Dated a girl in college who was raped and didn’t report it.

Or that’s what she told me.

Sure. You raped my sister. I totally believe it. You should be in jail. Until you prove otherwise.

I'm not willing to convict anyone, either in court or in public opinion, unless said person reports it. If a guy gets his arse beat and waits 5 or 20 years to report it, nobody generally questions the accused's innocence. Why should sexual assault be different?

Most certainly I think people are assualted and they don't report, especially in cases where things started off but then somebody didn't stop when they should've gotten the signal.

This is a separate issue entirely from making false accusations or making political theater.

All of these false accusations make it difficult for me to believe any allegations. I have also been the victim of a false allegation in the past, although that was a domestic violence allegation and not a sexual assault allegation. I just thought my accuser was a psycho, but apparently many different types of women will lie about this stuff on a regular basis.

I know a couple of them. But they BOTH described the incident in solid detail to multiple people in a relatively contemporaneous timeline.

I mean. I wouldn't even believe my wife if she told me this half assed story.

If no woman has ever told you a story about being assaulted or molested, that suggests that women don’t trust you.

Yes.

I’ve met several I believe.

They didn’t have an epiphany when the person became important that they had been sexually assaulted by.

And they had a story without gaps.

It’s pretty easy to convince me. Guys can be pigs.

Yes.

The entire debate as carried out on this forum in the last week or so is exactly why women don't report sexual assault and rape.

This has been my experience with believable individuals too.
