There is no doubt that this country’s international power and prestige is waning at an incredibly rapid pace. Eventually, if we continue this trajectory, someone will fill the void left by us. “Chinese” was a somewhat arbitrary descriptor of who that will be. But you can rest assured that whoever it is will eventually be completely intolerant of liberal thought and action. History books are full of examples.
