Because there's nothing like creating a sob stories about families getting caught breaking the law in our country. But who am I kidding? Let's blame Trump for a law that was passed by a Democratic President and has been in place for over 20 years. 
Hopefully, the rest of the country isn't gullible enough to fall for it.

I mean, they could try to focus on the economy and focus on redeeming themselves by letting their constituents down in 2016, especially in the rust belt.
What am I saying? The economy is flourishing, and they're the ones who outsourced all of the jobs overseas from the rust belt states. Yeah, they're screwed.

By November they’ll have some new outrage. Maybe another thug felon will be shot by a white cop by then, or Trump might say something mean about a Mexican cartel.

As funny as this sounds, it's sad to say that this might be true.

It helps Dems because of minorities and millennial’s. Minoriities because of the their dislike of Trump and his policies. Young Millennial’s will vote because they get their news from social media. Democrats getting out the vote has already started. Social media is what could hurt the GOP the most.
They have already lost the minorities, but minorities usually have a low turnout rate. The zero tolerance policy will cause a rise in minority voting. The rise will mainly be Latino and against the party of Trump.
