No retartd, youre arguing something no one else is fricking arguing.
this is what I posted. You cant accept fact, so you blindly try to find numbers from 5 years ago which have no bearing on the past 12 months you idiot.

Most of that increase is after the April tariff announcement, Jethro.

Fertilizer is expensive due to a combination of high natural gas and energy costs, which are essential for production; global supply chain disruptions, such as those caused by geopolitical conflicts, natural disasters, and trade policies; and the limited number of countries with significant raw material reserves, making production dependent on a few key players.

Its interesting to look at the bigger datasets on this. US beef cattle feed consumption was up something like 15% from 2019. Yet, heard size is down 9% in the same time period.
It really shows how the environmental factors impacted the situation.

You stated that Trump is causing fertilizer prices to rise. I show you data that he didn't. And since you weren't educated enough about it to understand why fertilizer cost is rising, i'll help you out.
What is the biggest driver for fertilizer cost? Hint: It's not tariffs

Yeah feed consumption driven by weather factors are a tough one to account for at the start of a cycle.

It's not about them holding back, it's about them using the precedence of what is going on now to enact policy that they have never been able to.
It the ideas were bad when the left tired to employ them they should be bad now. Why are so many so fricking loyal to Trump? The man is not always right about everything.
I'd take him over the left any day but that doesn't mean I have to agree with him or support him when he sets price floors, aka socialism, uses tariffs as partisan tool and then seeks to bail out friendly countries by crapping on domestic ranchers.

The herd size is the smallest in 70 years.
Drought is not the reason our herd is 34% less than in the 70s. We have had droughts before and increased our heads of cattle.
We basically are at 1950 levels cattle with twice the population.

So, you are just digging in on being stupid?
Energy, dipshit. ENERGY PRICES.
Literally every source will tell you that energy prices is the largest driver for fertilizer prices.
quote:
Parum: The big drivers are energy costs, mainly because nitrogen fertilizers rely on natural gas and so other countries have had decreased production due to conflict, as well as geopolitical disputes overall. There will just, again, be that uncertainty as you know, the world continues to move around through these geopolitical disruptions.
quote:
Phosphate costs are rising due to a combination of factors including increased demand for fertilizers, geopolitical tensions affecting supply chains, and higher production costs driven by energy prices.
And i was trying to lead you to water, but what event was happening that might impact energy prices in 2024? Oh that's right, an election. And what act did Joe Biden due to falsely bring energy prices down? Raiding the strategic petroleum reserves. And what happens when we stop raiding the oil reserves, as Trump did? Energy prices begin to go back to previous levels. And what is trump doing to lower energy prices? Opening up drilling, reducing bureaucratic red tape, and signing multiple EO's on day 1 restoring America's might on energy.
You silly, silly, little bastard.
