Marvel bosses confirm America Chavez's LGBTQ+ identity in Doctor Strange 2

How is this even news? It would be unrealistic if there WASN’T a gay person in a movie or tv show. People need to chill on making a big deal whenever they see a same sex couple on their tv. It’s not being “woke”, it’s just an accurate reflection of the type of people that exist in the world.

It’s news, and it’s wrong, because it’s a KIDS MOVIE.
Kids should not be steered or influenced to not be heterosexual. Heterosexual life, having children, is the most fulfilling life. If a kid goes grows up and truly is just wired to not be a heterosexual, that’s fine, but adults should not in any way do anything that tries to nurture a non-heterosexual life.
Any form of sex that is not for reproductive purposes is simply a kink. Kinks are fine for adults to have and talk about, but we do not need to be putting kink behavior into children’s entertainment. Period.

I don't know the context of the scene, but just showing a couple on TV who isn't hetero isn't steering, influencing, or nurturing anything.
If it turns into some gay power thing with a rant about "acceptance" and huge focus on it then thats different.
