Discussion at the Dog Park

We have a local dog park near our home here in Central Florida. After work my favorite thing to do with Mrs 45 is visit the park and hang out with fellow dog lovers. We are both really good friends with an older woman who works in the nearby middle school as an instructional aide. She is a great person. Obviously the events of yesterday have her shaken (and rightfully so). She very calmly started talking about the necessity for gun control for “automatic weapons” and “assault rifles” and thinks we should even consider handguns. Said that people under eighteen can buy “automatic weapons” even though they cannot buy a pistol. She honestly believed that someone who was not eligible to vote could make a legal purchase of an automatic weapon. I just sat there in stunned silence (I will admit it). Did not have the heart to tell her 1) She is wrong about gun ownership and 2) I own two AR platforms and a 9mm pistol.

This truly is the heart of the debate in this country. Very well intentioned but incredibly ill informed voters.
