Iran summons Ukraine’s envoy over drone attack comments
The move comes after Zelenskyy adviser appeared to directly link Ukraine with an attack on a military facility in central Iran.

It would be a wild twist, after Iran spent the weekend blaming Israel. It makes strategic sense, because of the Iranian built drones plus the insane desire of the Zelensky leadership to create World War III.
All the same, I have mixed emotions on this. Any attack on the Mullahs infrastructure is good, imho.

You should read the article. The attacks were the same style that Ukrainians have been using against Russians.
Small, commercially available, Quad copters dropping munitions.
For Iran to put out a statement not blaming Israel or the USA, that is a big deal.

That’s what I would expect.
It’s smart. Especially when you want to broaden a conflict, preferably away from Israel and the Middle East, yet still target Iran.

Ummm... you realize that the Israelis are working with the Ukranians, right? They are trying to knock down Russia too since it supports parts of the Middle East that Israelis are struggling against.

Sure, Ukraine would love to stop the influx of Iranian UAVs and Iranian weapon to Russia, but distance ns not on their side. I just dont see Ukraine having the ability to attack Iran.
Isfahan is 200+ miles from the persian gulf, 225 miles from Iraq, and 250 miles from the caspian sea. In comparison, moscow is 280 miles from Ukraine.
Isreal or the US sure.

Both Israel and Azerbaijan have reason to retaliate. The Azeris are backed by the Turks and the Turks got the TB@ drone tech from Israel 15 years ago.

Ukrainian special ops has been active around the world. These quad drones can be move easily. I don't see this as being insurmountable. The drones were launched from inside of Iranian territory. Probably within a mile of the targets.
