Did the Right screw up the messaging around Hunter Biden

It feels like whenever this gets brought up or I even bring it up in my life, it gets returned with some form of "who cares about the guys dopey kid, everyone has an embarrassing family member"
As if to insinuate the scandal in the story is just Hunter's personal behavior. And not that Joe was sending him around the globe to secure deals with foreign governments while he had political power to be influenced. All the while, Hunter's personal behavior allowed for him to be an easy target for blackmail videos which could also be used by foreign governments.
But somehow this is never the message they hear.

I don’t really care about hunter biden. If they can prove he committed a crime, his arse can go to jail. Y’all act like hunter, or joe or Hillary or Obama, or whoever y’all pick next, their potential offenses are an excuse for trumps. That’s not how this works.

From a legal standpoint I don't give a frick about Hunter Biden's drug use or his sexual play.
What I do care about is that he was his Dad's collection arm for largesse obtained in foreign deals. Ukraine and Burisma and the honey hole of foreign aid there that somehow was making it back to the US via the kids of politicians like him and Kerry's stepson as well as others. As well as " payoffs" by China.

Hunter Biden isn’t some Roger Clinton /Billy Cater black sheep doofus. He has been integrally involved in foreign deals with his father’s blessing, oversight, and participation. He’s a national security risk and is compromised. An honest media would pound this story non stop, but we know that isn’t happening. R’s did the right thing with presenting the entire truth and not selective messaging.

It's establishment/non-establishment. Non-establishment doesn't have the power to control narratives. They don't even have the power to vaguely guide narratives.
That sort of power is with the establishment. It's why to this day, there are still people who genuinely believe that Rittenhouse murdered 2 black peaceful protesters. Think about how powerful that kind of narrative control is. It's very easily proven he didn't kill 2 black guys, there're countless videos from that night. The faces of those two dead guys have circulated everywhere...but there are still people who believe he killed two black guys. To be able to convince people to deny their own eyes, ears, and common sense... is amazing.
