Attorneys for Donald Trump came to the Justice Department Monday morning to make their case that the government should not charge the former president in connection with his possession of classified documents after leaving office, a person familiar with the situation said.

Among the lawyers at the meeting were John Rowley and James Trusty, according to multiple people familiar with the situation, all of whom spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss it.

HOW CAN DOJ POSSIBLY CHARGE ME, WHO DID NOTHING WRONG, WHEN NO OTHER PRESIDENT’S WERE CHARGED, WHEN JOE BIDEN WON’T BE CHARGED FOR ANYTHING, INCLUDING THE FACT THAT HE HAS 1,850 BOXES, MUCH OF IT CLASSIFIED, AND SOME DATING BACK TO HIS SENATE DAY WHEN EVEN DEMOCRAT SENATORS ARE SHOCKED. ALSO, PRESIDENT CLINTON HAD DOCUMENTS, AND WON IN COURT. CROOKED HILLARY DELETED 33,000 EMAILS, MANY CLASSIFIED, AND WASN’T EVEN CLOSE TO BEING CHARGED! ONLY TRUMP - THE GREATEST WITCH HUNT OF ALL TIME!

Since the people that sit on the grand jury are Democrat Party and Lincoln Project members we know the answer.

Jack Smith is out for vengeance. Trump humiliated him while holding the office of President.

I can't help but wonder if this is pushback on charging Wray with Contempt and/or moving forward on the document confirming Biden bribery as VP.

Twitter link to video of Comer making an announcement to the press

Not me. I told you guys that hitting him after the primary will be the worst case in looks and outrage.

They want to take him out prior to that.

There is an article on Fox News website about this. It's James Comey commenting but he said Smith's group is under immense pressure to get this done before Trump can become the nominee. So it isn't surprising considering that.

The DOJ does not want to indict a nominee.

Imminent like Gaetz’s arrest or imminent like it’s defined in the dictionary?

He’s still going to be the nominee. So, there’s that.

Not sure about that. But I'm fascinated as to how this will unfold. Nominating a convicted felon is a poor choice.
I realize the deck is stacked against republicans. Democrats can get a conviction in any large city. Republicans can get a conviction in North Dakota, Oklahoma, Wyoming or Idaho. So Trump has to face a jury in NYC, probably DC and possibly Atlanta. Those are very blue jury pools.

If this doesn’t wise people up to the rotted, corrupt institution that “represents all of us” then nothing ever will.

I’d invite any of the Left supporting board members (or anti-Trump in general) to take an honest stab at explaining in detail why Trump is deserving of charges yet Biden or Pence were not.

We don't have enough information to come to any conclusions. The Biden investigation is ongoing.
