Seriously, do it. This is his moment to cement himself being President in 2024. He pretty much already is President for half the country at this point since all the red and purple governors tend to follow his lead. Do it right now.

Rip this administration to bits for being lying cowards, say that Biden is fully unfit for office, should resign, and if he won’t he should be impeached and removed from office. Few moments like these happen in history, and now is the time.

I think he should lay out what he would have done differently. Take the high road. Reach out to veterans and active service members. Show some class while letting the public know Biden made a mess.

Show empathy for the troops, and say the thousands that gave their lives for this country have been brutally insulted by the Biden administration. Also bring up that the media and Democrats were more outraged by unsubstantiated allegations against Brett Kavanaugh than women and children on mass being raped, killed, and subjugated in Afghanistan right now.

I disagree because then, the focus will move to him and Trump. The media will blame them for this colossal failure.

He needs to let Biden fail in glorious fashion unassisted.

I agree with this message.

Give me Trump or give me Desantis and I’m happy.

I read this post after. I think you might have a better idea here.

Too soon. He’s gotta get re-elected governor before taking aim at the White House.

A) What does Florida have anything to do with this?

B) They’re already blaming Trump for it, so who cares? This reminds me when some of you idiots said that Trump shouldn’t attack Kamala on the campaign trail because the media would attack him for being racist and sexist. Yeah also known as “a day ending in Y” on CNN. I’m done with this stupid cowardice. We’re going to call a duck a duck at this point, and frick right off with this civility and cowardice.

Lot of retired military in the panhandle. Just not sure if this is really something he needs to comment on.

Attack the suits not the troops. I’m sure the troops and veterans are more pissed off than anyone.

If he talks, he must represent the concerns of the military.

Absolutely. Make the speech very empathetic and powerful toward the troops. Make it clear that Biden betrayed them, Americans at large, and the Afghan people, specifically the women, children, and people who helped us that wanted a freer better society for them and their children to grow up. China is laughing their fricking asses off at us right now.

I wouldn’t even bring him up.

Stay on message. Focus on the troops. Focus on the endangerment of American lives. Offer to help in any way Florida can.

Clearly Biden and the radical left deserve every bit of blame for this fiasco and everybody knows it and nobody should forget.

However anything said by DeSantis cannot appear as political opportunism, gloating or rubbing their nose in the mess. A comment by DeSantis must make a legitimate point and related to Florida such as representing retired and active duty military. Just a general, you screwed up comment, is not appropriate. And I am not sure what sort of comment would meet those criteria.

He should be subtle about it. The next time he's in front of the press, plant someone to ask a question about Kabul. Then have a statement planned out that comes across as empathetic but very presidential.

They’re already going after him so he should do the same. He’s focused on winning Florida again next year though.... as he should be.
