Denver could be the first U.S. city to decriminalize psilocybin mushrooms when voters head to the polls Tuesday to vote on a public referendum on the issue

Federal officials banned mushrooms in 1970 due to their hallucinogenic effects
If approved, law enforcement would have to consider possession of mushrooms 'the lowest law enforcement priority in the City and County of Denver'

Many argue that the substance has the potential to help with issues including: addiction, depression, chronic pain, anxiety and post-traumatic stress disorder

Look at that statement.

Just look at it.

Fedgov has been overreaching for as long as they have existed.

This is where I continue to caution the "drug libertarians" - I'm all for adults doing what they want to do as long as it isn't hurting anyone else, but hallucinogens need to be taken under controlled conditions.

I mean, we make scuba divers get certified, don't we? I'm failing to see the difference on some of these agents that go beyond mere sedation (or stimulant).

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of the prospect of having shroomed drivers on the roads.

Psilocybin is a potent consciousness enhancer. More woke people is a good thing. This is very healthy for our society.

Is the current situation promoting hallucinogens being taken under controlled conditions?

If they legalize marital BJs next, I'm definitely moving the family out there.

Who wants to shroom and drive? That sounds horrible. When I've done it, I don't want to do anything but go for walks in the woods or float down a river in a tube.
