I know he's bad but do you think he's going to go Never Trumper? That hasn't worked out too well for past Republican Senators such as Flake, Corker, McCain, Romney, etc.

Well, he voted to impeach Trump, so I think never Trumper status is already confirmed.

Im happy to have the majority. 52 is a decent buffer but 53/54 would be much better. There is always going to always be a few that pull the bullshite and hold the party hostage. Joe Manchin was doing it to the left and we got a few that do it on the right - The one positive is we got rid of Mittens so that's one less doing it on the right.

But they have to play ball. Just like when Mitch cut funding to Trump candidates.
Trump can essentially retire them.

Hasn't he already said he won't seek another term? If so, he will do as he pleases.

VP votes in a tie, so 52 is already enough
The problem is the map is a lot worse for the GOP in the mid-terms (honestly... this year was perhaps the best Senate map currently possible for the GOP)...
needed as much room to work with to keep the majority after the 2026 election... esp. since the President's party typically loses seats anyway in mid-terms

All the states that stalled voting are going blue after being down 2 points.
The stalled to figure out what they needed to win. The citizenry better wake up in these locations.
Florida counted more votes in 24 hours than PA and MI combined did in 48 hours.

I find it fishy that neither party ever seems to get more than 52 or 53. It’s like there is a coordinated effort to keep it close enough to obstruct.
Because it is... It was blatant that's what happened in 2022.

The RNC needs to figure out why these Senate candidates are underperforming Trump. Could have had 56-57 seats. It was right there for the taking.
In these places, like NV, the GOP flipped the state house and they voted Trump only to not vote for the GOP Senate?
It's BS.
But but... "Lake is just a bad candidate. They don't like her." bullshite, people rebuked Democrats in this election. They weren't voting split tickets. Nor were they in 2022.

There is no reason to reject Biden at the Presidential level and not at the Senate level
Yes there is. One of the reasons to vote against Kamala is she was a dishonest mediocrity. If you're a centrist, and the democrat senate candidate is better than the Republican, you're going to vote for him.
