VOTING RIGHTS: While many states are pushing restrictive voting laws, today Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear signed a bipartisan bill that expands voter access, saying “we should be making it easier.” LINK pic.twitter.com/85FqbR68Z4

While Republicans like @BrianKempGA are implementing Jim Crow 2.0, yet another Democratic governor just expanded voting rights, this time in deep red Kentucky.
Thank you, Gov. @AndyBeshearKY. LINK

A lot of people celebrating that Kentucky passed a set of election laws that are still more restrictive than Georgia's LINK
These bills revert Kentucky back to requiring an excuse for absentee ballots. Georgia has no excuse absentee balloting.
Kentucky would now have 3 days of early voting, with none on Sundays. Georgia has 17 days of early voting along with two optional Sundays.
Read the law. LINK

I'm not a violent guy, but anyone using this term in regards to the law in Georgia deserves to be taken into the street and beaten to death. What a fricking disservice to everyone that actually lived through actual Jim Crow.

Honk honk.
So what else is in Kentucky’s law?

It's too bad people are so ignorant of history that they even think that this is okay to say.

Of course they are praising him, he’s a Democrat. Dems don’t care about what is actually happening or facts. Just like they praised Cuomo last year for how he was handling the pandemic based on his press conferences and not on what he was actually doing.

The KY legislature is a joke. Super majority in both houses, yet they just can't get enough of getting to work with the Governor and the few Democrats in state congress.

Yeah, Beshear seems like a massive piece of shite.

Georgia is a leftist target because they know they can get away with voter fraud there and they don't want to lose any ground. Kentucky doesn't have a big enough Atlanta-style democrat political machine in place (yet) to be a leftist target.

The bill, HB 574, passed 91-3 in the state House and 33-3 in the state Senate before going to Beshear's desk last week. Both chambers of the Kentucky Legislature are controlled by Republicans.
Cliffs on new Kentucky legislation?

Hell, even the Republican SOS is kissing the governor's arse for signing the bill.

The biggest things people have issues with in Georgia is the dropbox which was only implemented because of Covid, the water/food in line but people can still get water, ID but you can show up with a utility bill, and access to more voting by mail
