Even though Eric Holder, Schumer many other democrats initially had temper tantrums and threatened they would stack the SCOTUS and rule.
They are back peddling this morning because they realized it wasn't a good look.

So the Democrats are going from changing the rules yesterday to playing within the rules today. At least that's a step in the right direction.
The problem with gumming up the works on procedural votes not associated with the vote on the SCOTUS nominee it keeps the Democrats including Kamala Harris in the senate and off the campaign defending themselves from opponents.
And the impeachment of Bill Barr?
The House can impeach Bill Barr but they cannot force the Senate's schedule. McConnell can schedule the impeachment trial in the Senate after the confirmation of the SCOTUS nominee.

The impeachment would originate in the House. They don't have the votes to ram that through with little to no investigation/discussion.

It's very telling that civilian Democrats think the hyper-partisan, power hungry, rule-eschewing congressional Democrats are not dirty enough.
Learned helplessness? The speaker of the house just said a few days ago that they could impeach the POTUS every single day going forward on whatever charges they wanted.
