#walkaway

OK I'm fascinated by this movement and watch the videos occasionally. This one is an independent voter who apologizes to Trump supporters on behalf of MSM & says she will NEVER vote for a democrat again b/c of the lies. She was a MSN & CNN watcher, no wonder she's pissed.

ETA #walkaway stories of REAL Americans & NOT Russian bots for those questioning @ the inception of this thread:

7/18/18: US soldier converted from liberal to independent conservative

7/19/18: "When I started to #WalkAway... EVERYONE came at me"

7/20/18: #WalkAway Campaign Backlash: Their Anger Isn’t Working

7/21/18: #walkaway Hypocrisy-Trumps "fake news" claims spurred this awakening

7/22/18: Whoopi, this is why Dems are WALKING AWAY!

7/23/18: Another woke one: NOT a Russian bot

7/24/18: #WalkAway Feminist - Maybe I'm a conservative

Sigh. Funny thing to say while Republicans are turning on Trump. The denial is so strong you made a thread about how confident you are.

The Republicans who are turning on Trump didn't want him to be President in the first place. They didn't matter then. They will matter even less going forward.

Never Trumpers can't be said to "turn" on Trump. They didn't support or vote for him in 2016 and most will not vote for him in 2020 - although many will.

More importantly, independents are seeing the results of his policies and realize what a complete farce and complete sh!t show this "investigation" is.

I've spoken with MANY people who didn't vote for Trump but who plan to in 2020.

I haven't met one person who voted for Trump but doesn't plan to in 2020. Most will have much more enthusiasm when they pull that lever in 2020 because Trump has either fulfilled his campaign promises or is fighting to do so every day of the week.

Aww.. congrats . Not only is there no data that suggests that Democrats are fleeing en masse (quite the opposite in some regions) ,You've made Putin proud tonight. There have been exhaustive articles revealing Russian Bots as the main impetus behind this. Sure there's probably a few legit people in this. For the most part, it's being heavily promoted, tweeted and distributed by Kremlin linked operatives. And no, you can find the links yourself.

Again, you are doing exactly what Putin wants.

You people are seriously delusional. Go live in the shite infested streets of California to see what a new Democratic utopia would be like.

Certain segments of the democratic party are or have been fleeing en masse for some years now.

White working class workers up till around the year 2000 were supporters of the democratic party. They have massively left the party and now vote GOP by very substantial margins (Trump won them by largest margin since FDR in 1936). This is showing up in state results: Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania were considered blue states on the national level in the 1990s and 2000, 2004, 2008, and 2012. When a state swings 10 points in 4 years, something is happening in terms of people leaving a party.

Bill Clinton won white working class voters in 1996....Trump won them by like 39 points. That is a yuge swing.

Because most working class people are white males. Democrats, especially in 2016 only targeted minorities and women. Problem is white women vote the way their husbands tell them too apparently

As someone who is relatively centrist I can say this walk away thing is pretty real. I've seen some on the left call it a hoax but many left center and other democrats are tired of the party attack it's own supporters.

Have a few friends who are Bernie bros who are pretty much done with the Democratic Party. Bernie could do some major damage if goes Independent soon.

The party is quite literally in the worst shape it has been in since the 1920s. That could change in 2018 midterms, but doesn't mean anything at this point. All that is true is that they are historically weak.

The democratic party has lost support compared to 2008.

People have been walking away from the democratic party for over a decade....especially in rural and small town America.

Check out this map.

First term Presidents typically get destroyed in their midterm elections. The fact that Trump is getting hammered the way he is daily in the media and the midterms are not already in the bag for the Dems is a telling enough sign.

2008 also had record number of young people vote, something they destroyed when they fixed the primary against Bernie.

Issue is the Democratic leadership is just sad. Schumer, Pelosi, Waters, my god what a terrible cast of cry babies.

My wife is somewhat centrist and calls herself a libertarian. There are some semantics that I would disqualify her on for that categorization, but that’s neither here nor there.

I have wondered several times where the news has swung her opinion and I can tell you she’s absolutely disgusted by the left’s tactics and will firmly vote Trump again.
