Deleting Facebook

Started deleting it today.
Copied all photos to multiple USBs.
Looking for non woke cloud storage.
Came to realization of how sad it is we can't use Social Media freely.
It could be so cool to continue to communicate with old friends/teammates/etc from all over.
Yet, the fear of some inoculus thing I say getting me "cancelled" is causing me to delete.
Facebook could be really neat if people were rational and used responsibly.
Copied all photos to multiple USBs.

I've never had any social media platforms or interaction and I don't feel like I've missed anything. Ten-digit phone numbers still work just fine.

I'm just honestly a people person.
I work solo for most part.
So, social interaction is nice.
Maybe, I won't miss it.

try mewe to replace Facebook.
Yeah, it is on Amazaon AWS right now and if they get big to threaten their Tech Tyrant Partner Facebook, or Trump joins it, Amazon might cancel them. It is decent, right now.
Make sure you only accept invites from people you know. There is some frickery going on there and at FB and other sites. Usually, some hairy Chinese commie with a girl name and hot female model pics. They think we are dumb.

i would love to get off facebook...but i have a lot invested there (including business) - have signed up for mewe but only have 3 connections there...if it does get big enough to replace facebook i'll go there exclusively

I'm a partner in a business out of state.
We do some marketing via our IG page. I'd never expect ppl to ignore customers and cost themselves money.
But, unless it's gonna cost you money.....if you bitch about Big Tech, and still have FB... You're a hypocrite.

Just purged my friends list on FB yesterday and let several people know that I am deleting FB and Messenger soon so they can give me their contact info. I joined MEWE right after. There are actually more acquaintances already on there than I expected.
