The fact that Kamala is the Democrats best option for president tells me it’s the death of the Democratic Party. Call it what you want. We all know it’s a socialist movement. They are not for democracy, why call them Democrats?

They can not elect leaders. They will continue to cheat.

Why do they worry about democracy? They don’t even believe in democracy. It’s a hoax.
They don’t care if you vote or not. As long as they are able to cheat their way to the top, they need only the illusion of democracy.

Democracy now equals the government, the system, the process. The messaging has been moving in that direction for a while now.

Benz was saying something about that in one of the many interviews he's been doing lately.

They win at the word games every time.

If the Dems had a primary without Biden, Kamala’s extreme Left positions would have come to light and she would have been rejected, in my opinion. Since she was appointed, the Dems and media have to show a united front with her Marxist views. Win or lose, it’s going to be tough for the Dems to move back towards the center after this election.

The Democrat transformation into Dick Cheney globalist republicans in the last 15 years is nothing short of amazing.

I wholeheartedly agree with your sentiment but what we have right now is effectually a democracy (for all the vileness that a democracy brings) because anyone who acquires US citizenship or just so happens to plop out of an American's womb after 18 years is allowed to vote.

If we were to disenfranchise most people of their vote (like we absofrickingshould) then we really would return back functionally to a constitutional republic like the Founders intended.

Out of all of our rights, voting actually was not one of them - it was originally indeed a privilege granted by the states which were then mirrored at the federal level. Allowing every adult to vote has been a tragic mistake - probably the biggest mistake we have ever made as a country.

No, it isn’t, because the goal of the party now is to remove choice.

If Kamala wins this time, look for illegal immigration to make Dem POTUSs a permanent feature of our voting republic. Eventually that’ll mean an all leftist Congress and SCOTUS.

You are wrong sir. The constitution still stand. They just don’t abide by it. That is the problem. We still live in a constitutional republic but the left and the rhinos just deny its existence. And that is the problem.

But I do agree with most of what you said. Honestly I don’t think you should be allowed to vote unless you have a job or are at least 35 years of age and have held a job for an x amount of time.

Cool, so I guess anyone under 35 doesn’t have to pay taxes anymore or can’t get drafted.

The Democrat party died several years ago. It is now the Socialist Workers Party using that name.

They have won the popular vote in every Presidential election this century and half of the Electoral College contests. Your post mortem is premature.

The Democratic Party has gotten stronger. They are able to do things now that they could not get away with just as recently as the Obama years. You're not seeing dysfunction, you're seeing design. And it comes at the expense of our nation.

Definitely agree with the Socialist part.

Not sure I agree with the “Workers” part as most of their constituency seem to have way too much free time to actually be working anywhere.

Socialism is the promise of something given to you without having to sacrifice for it. In a quasi-Captialism system that has morphed as badly as we have, the promise is, for many, a reality.

When the many get to 51%, regardless how stupid they are, the promise will dominate the vote.

That’s what most people don’t get with their posts of “didja hear what Kamala said?” and Walz “going off on the police!”. These people aren’t voting for candidates, they’re voting for the promise. They are voting for a living, and the people doing the promising don’t matter. Santa Claus is undefeated.
