The vibe provided by the article, but that WaPo would never outright say, is that the Councilman and his staff are probably exceptionally stupid people

I think they were obligated to do so because this putz had screwed up so badly before.
This was supposed to be a PR stunt to staunch the bleeding and it is hard to see how he and his team could have handled it worse short of dressing up as Hitler.

Oh, I get it. They want us to go to these Museums but we are not allowed to ask any questions, is that it?

Checked this dude's bio. Sure as shite. Started as a "community activist".
WTF is this career path? I guess they exist, but I've never heard of a white "community activist".
Dude has a degree from a HBCU(aka degree mill). First thing after he graduated? Started a "non-profit" which in the community organizing business is code for "way to get people to fund my lifestyle without getting a real job"
Then, he was a protege' of Marion Barry. Been in politics ever since.
Eventually, black people need to recognize that people like this are just leeches among them and stop elevating them. All people like him are doing is figuring out how to make $$$ off of race.
